Jamie Chipp

Director Key Accounts & Customer Solutions

 

Jamie is the Director of Customer Solutions and Key Accounts at Nova Scotia Power. He currently supports teams responsible for Customer Data Insights, Load Forecasting, Residential Electrification Programs, E-Mobility Programs, Large Developers, and Key Accounts. He is an advocate of data-driven innovation and implementing solutions that align with customers’ evolving needs and allow NSP to deliver reliable and affordable clean energy.

Martin Rovers

Project Director Clean Energy Strategy

Martin Rovers

 

Martin is responsible for developing new clean energy projects to support Nova Scotia’s transition off coal. Projects include interprovincial transmission, energy storage, and grid modernization. Martin brings 25 years of experience in project development and operations at leading companies in energy, start-ups and management consulting. Martin earned his M.Sc. in Physics at McMaster University and his MBA at the University of Toronto.

Brendon Henderson

Engineering Specialist, Distribution Planning

Brendon Henderson

 

Brendon leads the Distribution Planning team at Nova Scotia Power, overseeing system studies focused on load growth, reliability, and the impacts of generator and large load interconnections. Brendon drives the integration of new data sources to enhance modeling capabilities. His efforts ensure that sound engineering analysis underpins critical operational, capital, and regulatory decisions, supporting the long-term reliablity and efficiency of the power distribution system.

Riley Cooke

Lead Data Scientist

 

Riley is a Professional Engineer with extensive experience in battery energy storage, spanning from managed EV charging to optimizing cell designs for satellites. The team focuses on evaluating time-varying electricity pricing, EM&V and leveraging cloud-scale analytics, statistical regression, and machine learning to extract actionable insights from AMI data. Riley holds a Master’s Degree in Applied Science and is passionate about using big data to drive smarter energy solutions.

Matt Drover

Sr. Director, Energy Delivery

Matt Drover

 

Matt is an electrical engineer with over 20 years in the power industry. He has been with NS Power for 16 years and has held leadership roles throughout the company. He currently leads the Energy Delivery department which are responsible for safely and reliability operating the power grid to deliver electricity to customers throughout Nova Scotia.

Pam Scully-Poirier

Director, Energy Delivery Services

 

Pamela is an industrial engineer with over a decade of experience in the power industry. Over the past 14 years, she has played a vital role at Nova Scotia Power and now serves as Director of Energy Delivery Services. In this leadership position, Pamela oversees regional engineering and planning, meter and inspection services, and scheduling for regional operations.

Keith Maddison

Experienced in the utility, technology, and creative industries, Keith has proven himself an asset in the areas energy, telecommunications, media, and mobile app development. He’s dedicated to exceeding customer expectations, and his focus on innovation and bridge-building ensure he always gets the job done.

Steve McDougall

Manager, Key Accounts & Commercial Solutions

With over 15 years of mechanical, electrical, and industrial systems experience in the utilities industry, Steve helps customers navigate the complexities of selecting an energy portfolio for their business. He educates customers on the energy innovations and emerging technologies that are creating new ways for customers to increase energy resiliency, reduce their environmental footprint, and save on energy costs.

Scott Bateman

Scott has over 25 years of experience in defining service provider technology solutions as a product manager, with a strong record of delivering impactful results in the telecommunications sector. His work focuses on customer-centric innovation, aligning technology, engagement strategies to meet evolving needs and continuous improvement. Through collaboration and partnerships, Scott is focused on processes and tools for large and complex developments.

Angie McLeod

Strategic Account Manager

Angie has been with Nova Scotia Power since 2017 and has worked with hundreds of commercial and industrial customers on their energy projects during this time. She likes to think of herself as her customers’ “Easy Button”, since she’s dedicated to helping them navigate the detailed electrification process. Angie received her MBA from St. Mary’s University and her undergrad from Dalhousie University.

Anthony has over 20 years of product and program management experience in the telecom and utility sectors, leading customer-focused initiatives.  Known for being results-driven and a strong relationship builder, he currently manages EV Charging—focused on enabling charging at home, at work, and on-the-go.

Owen Hubley

Chief Electrical Inspector

Owen Hubley

 

Owen Hubley has been with Nova Scotia Power for two years. He began his career as a Red Seal electrician, building a strong foundation in electrical safety and code compliance. He later worked as a Field Evaluation Inspector, where he assessed specialized equipment for conformity with the applicable standards. Owen also serves on the Section 8 Code Committee and the Wind Turbine TC 88 Technical Standards Committee, contributing to the development and interpretation of the Canadian Electrical Code and CSA Standards. He is known for his thorough, collaborative approach and commitment to ensuring installations meet the highest safety standards.
